fourth cup of evening-tea at the studio. we did inventory at aa which means we're there at 7 in the morning. i don't mind it, i love getting up early, getting out early and doing work here after work. really feeling how long a day can be.

girls confuse me, they always did and i wonder if that's why i draw them with so much more passion than men despite my preferences. i think all girls that draw girls have different reasons ... fashion and beauty, sex, envy, desire to please, being a copycat, classical ideas about female form. all of those are my reasons too (for better or worse) but i can honestly say, even when i think back far and hard; reason number one was always that mystery. and, of course, i sincerely believe witches exist in some form or other. i feel this more than ever at 5.50 am.

The mystery, definiteyl yes, and there's also nothing really in men that screams "draw me, paint me!". Nothing paintworthy, i dunno why :P

My brain is convinced you're hiding under the bed in that photo even though I know you're not :)
I much prefer drawing girls to men, which is quite a change for me. When I was younger I couldn't draw girls at all, and I didn't want to, for a bunch of reasons. But nowadays I just find them more interesting and fun to draw. Better shapes, maybe.

I mostly draw women, but I think it's because of the curves you can draw. Am never able to make drawings look like men, they're always too curvy. But am defintly more scared of women. Men I mostly get, but from women you can expect anything.
